Great news for those that love to travel by train in Europe. The largest rail companies of Western Europe, Eurostar, France’s SNCF, the Deutsche Bahn, Belgium’s SNCB, the Dutch NS HiSpeed, Austria’s ÖBB and Switzerland’s SBB along with subsidiaries Thalys, Lyria and Alleo, are teaming up to provide unified loyalty and pricing schemes for their services with a view to add to the collaboration in the future. Travelling by rail in Europe is really a pleasure (for the most part) and I’m really happy to see rail operators standing up to the challenge posed by low-budget airlines.
